This is
the Lord's doing,
It is marvelous
in our eyes.

June 2007
Candy had her last business trip to New Jersey and Pennsylvania. After 11 years of triannual travel, Liberty will be based solely in CT. We were so grateful Nathan was able to travel with me. He was my very efficient accountant and scheduler and the highlight of every appointment - my clients couldn't wait to meet him!! The Lord blessed tremendously with almost every family still scheduling for fall in CT! They are truly faithful to finishing with their kids. We celebrated one year from the start of our courtship while on this trip. What a year it has been!

April 2007
April 14 was our wedding day!! We had prayed we could honor the Lord and praise Him for His blessings in our lives. We were so blessed with family and friends from all over the country to celebrate with us and to hold us accountable to our vows. Our soloist stunned everyone with his rich rendition of How Great Thou Art to begin the ceremony. Our trumpet player filled the sanctuary with majestic notes. All nervousness fled as we made eye contact with each other. The Lord gave us grace to make it through the vows that we had written and memorized. Mr. John Stephens delivered a charge that was so powerful both of us actually heard it and remember it! Our fathers each offered a prayer of blessing upon our marriage. And next thing we knew, we were husband and wife!!! Wow!

The next day we were off to Europe. First stop - the Island of Malta. We really didn't have an idea of what to expect. But were still surprised by the beauty of the Medierranean island. Our hotel was right on the water. We had three balconies overlooking the harbor and the Mediterranean Sea. We explored forts, secluded beaches, the island of Gozo, fishing villages and seaside cliffs. Saying goodbye to such peacefulness, we headed to Rome.We were awed by the sights we found... the Colisseum, the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps, hundreds of piazzas and delightful sidewalk cafes all serving delicious Italian delicacies. After a week of hustle and bustle we headed south along the coast to the southern shore of the Bay of Naples. We explored the coast by ferry, finding other villages tucked into the cliffsides. We explored our village of Sorrento by foot, the best way to take in all the alley ways and little corridors. Shopping was old-Italy and food, especially the ice cream, was so worth every Euro! We weren't eager to leave Italy, but fairytales can't last forever. The everyday life together in CT has been exciting and delightful! We look forward to years of fairytale joy together, regardless of where we are!
